Most of my excursions around Cuddington are quieter than this one. On Friday we were treated to a glorious display of fireworks on the playing field and I was there in the front row going “ooh” every few seconds.

Cuddington observations 
I lived here in Cuddington and worked at Ridge Barn farm for 23 years for the Ron Tomes family, in the fifties/sixties,(with a short break of 2 years,) and love to hear of what you have found that still is here, what has gone, and hopefully will return.
I have so many happy memories of my life in in Cuddington,ant so many friends i had, and still consider it is my home although I have lived in the USA for 35 years !
I used to return at least once or twice a year, but it seems that Amino Domini has caught me up!!!!
I did return for my 80th birthday this year, thanks to my dear friend, Thelma, and my son and his wife who made it possible.
Just to let you know that Otters were fairly common then, and the hounds were regular visitors , as were the occasional pheasant from the Spenser Barnard estate on other side of the river !!!!!
Perhaps you could contribute to the Village Voice – I am sure your love of our country side, and Cuddington,would be very much enjoyed,

Hi John, thank you for getting in touch. It’s lovely to hear that your memories of Cuddington are happy ones. We feel very lucky to have been able to join the community here. I’ve written a couple of pieces for the Village Voice, but that was to promote some charity fundraising I did earlier this year.
